Go Glory Go – “Glory”

Glory stands at 16.1 hands, is a very flashy, athletic chestnut mare, and has so much potential. She is a gorgeous mover, sound, and has absolutely no limitations. She was born in 2005 and wasn’t raced much until she was four, which is fortunate! Never suffered any major injuries and has been cleared by a vet evaluation for any discipline.

She is very correct, has great muscle tone, and I believe is quite intelligent. She has never offered to kick or bite, loves cookies, and is itching for a new job. Glory would shine in an intense sport such as Eventing or Jumper, but would likely also make a great foxhunter or trail horse for an avid rider.

Glory has been under saddle since coming home from the track. She is very quiet tacking up, not the least bit girthy, and lets Bonnie climb on her back in her stall and ride her out of the barn (not having a step stool or anyone around to give her a leg up). Glory has been great under saddle, brave and happy with a quiet mouth. She has done walk/trot so far with the footing being limited, but has done great! She’s also been taking rides with us through our trails and down the Horse Shoe Trail and has done excellent!

Her confirmation shots really don’t do her justice. Her coat’s a little long in the photos, but still healthy and shiny and she wasn’t too interested in standing on ice for the pictures (who can blame her?). Glory is definitely worth coming to see in person.

Glory was recently adopted by the owners of HST Equestrian Center. We hope to have photos soon of her on her way to her new career as a hunter jumper!
